April
12th 1997 Julianne has been in the studio with Marty Wilson-Piper.
This is Marty's own studio in the UK countryside. Marty says ....
"I've spent the last two weeks in the studio with Julianne Regan
and that's going really well. Still buried in manuals and sequencer
programs but Julianne and I have been working on that together which
makes it alot easier and as we are writing and learning, the balance
between the creative and the technical is far more rewarding.
So, we're off to London next week for a few days to feel the city and
get some other important things done and should be back around the middle
of April."
Also : The Seeing Stars album should be released soon on Borderline
records. This is taking up some of Marty's time with promo's etc and
also includes Andy and Mark from the Eves.
February
17th 1997 Someone signing themselves as "Julianne Regan"
filled in the "In the Clouds" guestbook at the weekend. The
message read as follows:
" I'm using a friend's set-up, so no address. Good to see people
are still interested in what we are up to. I have spent the last few
months eating chocolate and sleeping and now my hibernation is over,
I'm looking at a new record deal....so you haven't heard the last of
me yet."
She also cites Ultravilot as her favourite All About Eve album and Freeze
and Somer Finer Day as her favourite All About Eve tracks. These questions
are asked whenever anyone fills in the guest book.
January
26th 1997 Julianne is apparently still working on demo's and is
content concentrating on new material. She's not actively looking for
a new recording contract as of yet but may be in the near future. It's
expected that she'll be in this position for the next couple of months
at least.
She's not too disheartened at Permanent Records bankruptcy, just that
it was unfortunate that they had run into financial trouble just as
her album got released.
See more on what Julianne plans after the demise of Permanent.
